Health & Safety Policy and Procedures

At Sunshine State Electrical, we prioritise a safe and healthy work environment which minimises risk for our team, our clients, other trades on site and the local community.

As part of our Health & Safety management activities, we are committed to:

  • Ensure our full compliance with all applicable laws, legislation and regulations
  • Maintain current knowledge of electrical industry standards, codes of practice and all relevant guidelines
  • Set measurable and achievable targets to ensure continued improvement aimed at maintaining zero harm
  • Ensure all team members are aware of their WHS obligations and responsibilities through clearly communicating the policy and objectives, training our staff in the implementation of the policies, then measure our performance against these objectives
  • Work in collaboration with our clients and suppliers to adhere to best practice Health & Safety standards
  • Review the policy regularly and adopt a forward-looking view on future business decisions which may have Health & Safety consequences
  • Support all those who refuse to undertake work on Health & Safety grounds

Environmental Management

At Sunshine State Electrical, we are dedicated to reducing our company’s carbon footprint while also maintaining the highest standards of environmental protection. We focus on preventing the pollution of the environment through activities we control, as we conduct our operations in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.

As part of our operations, we assist our clients to reduce their carbon footprint by implementing more efficient power management and lighting systems, installing LEDs, sensor switches and timers to ensure power usage is kept to a minimum.

We also dispose of all packaging from site through a recycling program.

Quality Management

The discipline of quality management is an integral part of our management function. We view quality as a primary responsibility and believe it is key to adopting appropriate quality standards in all our work.
